As the former Chief Compliance, Risk and Privacy Officer at Environics Analytics, I led the creation of the Compliance Office Steering Committee, overseeing programs for risk, security, AI governance, data governance, compliance, privacy, ethics, and audit management.
James holds multiple professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), Canadian Institute of Access and Privacy Professionals (CIAPP), and Master Access and Privacy Professional (MAPP). In addition, James actively contributes to several professional bodies such as the ISC2, Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the Privacy and Access Council of Canada (PACC) and Brock University’s Centre for Business Analytics Advisory Committee.
